it’s sad because you never thought it would turn out that way. you put so much effort into everything you do; you put yourself out there not knowing if they would ever feel the same way you feel for them; you wonder constantly if you made the right decision; you wonder if you made the decision for them or yourself; you feel lost; you hope that later on you will find your way back to each other and laugh about “the good ol’ days”. but for now, you just think about what brought you to those sad thoughts and hope that they will go away.
